Jessica Biel in on the December cover of Elle

Elle is going the white-hot route with its December issue.

Photographed by Carter Smith, cover star Jessica Biel wows in a cream molded tank dress from Donna Karan New York paired with a black peekaboo Eres bra and chunky silver jewelry from Chrome Hearts, David Yurman, Low Luv x Erin Wasson, Gregg Wolf, Harry Winston, and Jelena Behrend.

Sporting disheveled chocolate brown waves, the Total Recall star is quick to shrug off questions about on-off boyfriend Justin Timberlake ("A girl doesn't kiss and tell"), though she tellingly wears a leather-sleeved hoodie from his William Rast line.

She is, however, happy to talk about dating actors.

"I think those are the people you meet and so it just kind of happens," she says. "Let me tell you: It never happens on purpose."

Biel hangs tough for her Elle photo shoot.

Channeling a biker chick (albeit a Versace-clad one) in her accompanying photo spread, the Revlon campaign star also opens up about her enviable figure.

"I feel very lucky that I grew up using my body, playing soccer, doing gymnastics," Biel tells the magazine. "I’m just not one of those people who are super-duper skinny.”

We don't think anyone minds. Of course, Biel isn't without regrets ... like losing out on Rachel McAdams's role in The Notebook.

"That’s one that I wanted so badly," she admits. "I was in the middle of shooting Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and I auditioned with Ryan Gosling in my trailer—covered in blood. [Director] Nick Cassavetes put me through the wringer in an interesting, excitingly creative way. But there’s a million that get away. We’re gluttons for punishment. It’s just rejection.”

Hey, nobody said Hollywood was easy.
