Get ready to squeeze some more Kate Spade into your week.

For Spring 2013 the label is launching Kate Spade Saturday, a global lifestyle brand that features apparel, accessories, beauty, and household items with a poppy and playful energy, Women's Wear Daily reports.

"It's meant to capture the spirit of Saturday every day of the week," says Craig Leavitt, president of Kate Spade LLC, being quick to clarify that the offshoot is not a diffusion line.

Aimed at a younger (think 25 to 35) consumer and priced at about 50 percent less than the main Kate Spade New York line, Saturday will have a flagship store in Tokyo and freestanding boutiques in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but will only be available in the U.S. via Saturday.com.

Not that we'll mind firing up our laptops for the brand's selection of functional, candy-colored handbags ($130 average price), jewelry, footwear, watches, swimwear, eyewear, and home goods, the latter of which will start at $25 and include anything from graphic-print mugs to tic-tac-toe sets.

As with most of the collection, the apparel will feature a punchy color palette and strong prints, including floral and printed denim and dresses.

Saturday.com will enhance its social networking presence by featuring tweets and images by the brand's fans, while the flagship's many features include iPad stations for instant posting, a handbag customization area, and a cafe serviced by American food vendors.
