Checkmate! Prada Has All the Right Moves in Chess-Inspired Fall 2012 Film

Trust the folks at Prada to make the high-stakes poker match in Casino Royale look like a round of Go Fish.

For its Fall 2012 campaign video, the Italian label—aided and abetted by the legendary Steven Meisel—stages a chess match that's fraught with tension ... and, of course, killer clothes.

Models Vanessa Axente, Magdalena Frackowiak, Madison Headrick, Elza Luijendijk, Iselin Steiro, and Anne Vyalitsyna sport underlined eyes and long, straight blonde manes along with graphic prints, bold red and royal purple ensembles, jaunty caps, and jewel-embellished coats in the captivating film.

Hmmm. Either chess is more mesmerizing than we assumed, or we're all just pawns in Grandmaster Miuccia's little hands.
