A look from the Maison Martin Margiela Fall 2012 runway.

Lanvin, Versace, David Beckham, Marni, Anna Dello Russo...and now Maison Martin Margiela? H&M sure knows how to spoil us.

Industry sources tell Women's Wear Daily that the Swedish retailer has tapped Margiela as its latest high-fashion collaborator, though an H&M spokeswoman says, "We never comment on rumors."

Thankfully, we do. A collection for H&M would no doubt bring major mass exposure to the avant-garde French fashion house, which has been overseen by an in-house design team since its namesake founder's exit in 2009.

Best known for cleft-toed boots, wig coats, and deconstructed garments that defy convention, the label has also delved into home décor of late, opening up the possibility of an interiors range for H&M.

Still, we'll happily settle for a bargain-friendly take on Fall 2012's pitch-perfect outerwear ... and perhaps an oversized turtleneck or two?
