Sooner or later, you just knew Kate Middleton's Cinderella story was going to involve some killer footwear.

This time, however, it's not Prince Charming, but rather six footwear design students at De Montfort University in Leicester, England who will be looking to slip a stylish shoe on the Duchess of Cambridge's feet, People StyleWatch reports.

In preparation of Middleton's March 8th visit to campus, the students have been tasked with designing heels inspired by the royal style icon, who will personally select her favorite pair. No pressure!

"We were thrilled when the Palace asked for six designs for the Duchess to choose from," Kevin Guildford, head of the school footwear design program, tells the magazine. "It's the most fabulous opportunity for the students who couldn't hope for a bigger fashion icon to endorse their designs."

The designs range from Summer Spencer's tartan print influenced by the Duke and Duchess' coat of arms, to Tabitha Duffield's girly daisies paired with pink leather, to a style from Becka Hunt that recalls Middleton's sapphire engagement ring.

One word of advice: Stay away from the fur, guys.
