Inspiration strikes many a creative soul without making sense to the average left-brain type. After all, Mary Katrantzou has named typewriters as a design impetus, Sarah Burton cited "Friend" Joey Tribbiani as jumping-off point for Alexander McQueen, and the duo behind Peter Pilotto has copped to taking cues from scuba gear.
Now Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet is another designer in a long list to glean inspiration from the unlikeliest of sources, this time with ice cream.
In celebration of MAGNUM Ice Cream's new mini bars, Bendet will reveal her own take on the miniskirt, inspired by the just-launched treats, at the label's Spring 2013 presentation this fall.
Karl Lagerfeld is nowhere to be seen in this latest MAGNUM Ice Cream partnership, but the decadent dessert brand tapped an equally innovative team to shoot Bendet: the blogging duo behind From Me To You, Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck, whose photos-in-motion have been favored by Tiffany & Co. and the fashion set.
