Louis Vuitton is channeling a sportier side.

According to Vogue U.K, the storied French Fashion house is collaborating with Barber Osgerby, the design duo that created the Olympic torch, on an exclusive bell lamp.

The luxe-modern spin on the old-fashioned lamp is Louis Vuitton's contribution to the Objets Nomades Collection, a travel-inspired collaboration between 11 top designers.

The goal of the Objets Nomades Collection is to create an interiors object designed specifically for traveling, and the modern-day lantern uses technology that allows it to recharge by sunlight for the ultimate style savvy nomad.

"We began with the idea, then the function," Edward Barber of Barber Osgerby told Vogue U.K. "First came an exploration of the technological possibilities to ensure that the lamp was both portable and sustainable. Ease of carriage and the way the lamp's solar and lighting technology work informed the shape. Our method is reductive, hence the simplicity of form."
