Judy Garland's 'The Wizard of Oz' Dress Up for Auction

Judy Garland's iconic blue gingham pinafore dress from The Wizard of Oz is up for auction.

From the 1939 classic, the dress starts at $200,000, and is estimated to sell up to half a million dollars.

As one of Hollywood's most iconic dresses, Dorothy's pinafore is joined by 800 other silver screen souvenirs as part of the Icons and Idols 2012: Hollywood auction, from wardrobe and props to original photographs and celebrity-owned nic nacs.

Katharine Hepburn’s jacket from Desk Set, Rita Hayworth’s Orry-Kelly gown from The Strawberry Blonde, Julie Andrews' dress from The Sound of Music, Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond suit from Goldeneye, Angelina Jolie’s Girl Interrupted outfit, are other iconic costumes included in the high-profile auction offerings, while a copy of Marilyn Monroe's 1961 last Will and Testament is another item expected to bring in the big bucks.

The Icons and Idols 2012: Hollywood auction will be exhibited at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California, starting November 5th and the actual auction is set to take place on November 9th.
