Couture gowns courtesy of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana? Someone's been listening to our prayers.
Women's Wear Daily reports that Dolce & Gabbana will stage a private clients-only couture presentation on July 9 in Taormina, Sicily, with the possibility of launching a full couture collection down the road. (Here's the part where you do a celebratory cartwheel.)

No press has been invited to the low-key affair, so it's unclear if images of the decadent designs will be released to the public, or if we'll simply have to wait for a celebrity fan like Scarlett Johansson or Fall 2012 campaign star Monica Bellucci to hit the red carpet in something extraordinary.
There's a lot riding on the July 9 presentation, which the designers are reportedly viewing as an experiment to determine whether or not they make the full leap into couture. Fingers and toes crossed it all goes well!
