Louis Vuitton's Fall 2012 show.

Well, isn't this a pleasant Shanghai surprise.

After wowing the fashion world with its extravagant Fall 2012 runway show staged aboard a full-sized locomotive said to have cost $8 million, Louis Vuitton is set to do it all over again with a whistlestop tour of Shanghai, Women's Wear Daily reports.

Timed to coincide with the late July reopening of the Louis Vuitton store in Shanghai's Plaza 66 mall, the event will recreate the Paris Fashion Week show—Louis Vuitton Express and all—at an undisclosed location. Sources also reveal to WWD that 10 new looks will be incorporated into the collection, making this a sequel well worth watching.

In another case of fashion déjà vu, Shanghai also played host to the April 14 reprisal of Dior's Spring 2012 couture show, while Jean Paul Gaultier will present his Fall 2012 collections in Beijing on May 11.

Hmm. Maybe we should move to China?
