Tom Ford Releases $3,000 Special-Edition Eyewear Collection
When it comes to luxury, it’s hard to top Tom Ford. But $3,000 spectacles? Now he’s outdoing even himself.
In April, Ford will release a special-edition collection of eyewear, inspired by ‘50s shapes. The glasses, which come in a men’s style and a women’s style offered in two colorways each, are constructed of gold-plated metal and precious water buffalo horn—and retail for $2,950 each.
Of course, you’re paying for more than just a chic pair of frames. Each pair comes with its own Bakelite box with brown lining, a certificate of authenticity, and a special cleansing cream and cloth to care for the water buffalo horn.

Opulent? Sure. But we predict Ford’s deep-pocketed disciples will snap them up. Of course, if water buffalo’s not quite refined enough for you, there are always Bulgari’s sapphire, mother-of-pearl, amethyst, and diamond-studded frames…
Tom Ford's special-edition frames will be available April through June in Tom Ford boutiques and select luxury department stores.
