Vera Wang to Design Men’s Wearhouse Tuxedos?
Between her signature bridal collection, her wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses for David’s Bridal, and her bridal jewelry collection for Zale’s, Vera Wang already has an impressive hold on the wedding market.
But now, that one nuptial element that has yet to receive the designer’s stamp of approval—that would be the groom—can get in on the action.
Women’s Wear Daily reports that Wang is expected to announced a partnership with Men’s Wearhouse on a line of tuxedos—her first venture in the menswear market.
Men’s Wearhouse divulged recently that a new licensing arrangement with a “well-known apparel brand” was in the works for its tuxedo rental business, with sources saying that brand was Vera Wang.
David’s Bridal and Men’s Wearhouse are divisions of the same company, so such a deal would make perfect sense, though neither party has confirmed the reports.
