Nine West’s Original Sneakers Brand
After teaming up with the likes of Sophie Theallet and Giles Deacon, Nine West is stepping into the spotlight on its own.
In a brand-new licensing agreement with Philip Simon Brands, the retailer has announced the launch of Nine West Original Sneakers, an offshoot brand that will have a unique logo and packaging.
Prices and styles for the Nine West Original Sneakers have not yet been released, but the collection will be unveiled at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) trade show in August.
Shoppers, however, will have to wait a little longer—the sneakers are slated to land at Nine West stores worldwide as well as department stores and boutiques in the Spring of 2012.
“The extension of Nine West into the hot, fashion athletic arena takes one of the world’s premier footwear brands to an exciting, new level,” said Richard Dickson, president of Nine West parent company The Jones Group. “The Jones Group continues to look towards further developing and enhancing its brands.”
