First came shoes. Now Skechers is looking to beef up its profile by expanding to apparel.

The brand has inked a multi-year licensing agreement with Li & Fung that will result in the launch of Skechers Fitness activewear, outerwear, and accessory lines for women and men.

Skechers Resistance, Tone-ups, and the Kardashian-fronted Shape-ups collections will include branded apparel and performance-related accessories as part of the new deal. Does this mean we'll be seeing more shots of Kim in yoga pants and sports bras?

LF USA—which also works with Rachel Zoe as well as Keds' own expansion into sportswear—will design and produce the new range, set to launch in Spring 2012.

"Skechers Fitness is an innovative, athletic lifestyle brand with strong consumer appeal,” Rick Darling, president of LF USA, says in a press statement. “With its unique performance features, Skechers Fitness is changing the athletic footwear landscape and the way people incorporate fitness into their daily lives. We see tremendous opportunities to build on the brand’s solid foundation as we bring consumers a new, differentiated performance apparel collection.”

Hmm. Avoiding the gym is going to be a bit harder.
