So long, Desperate Housewife; hello, sexy singleton!

Fresh off her divorce from basketball star Tony Parker, Eva Longoria is reclaiming her independence with a stunning new cover shoot for Allure’s April issue.

While the March Allure had Longoria’s pal Victoria Beckham playing a glam soccer mom, the latest issue sees the Latina beauty opening up about her changing relationship status as she wows in a draped jersey J. Mendel dress with a plunging neckline.

“I’m kind of having to find new patterns because I’m not used to having [them],” the actress says of life post-Parker, who was rumored to have been caught exchanging texts with a teammate’s wife. “I’m used to always being on a plane and flying to a basketball game.”

“It’s been—every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama.”

Friends (“I collect amazing, smart, interesting women,” she says) have helped the 36-year-old Texan weather the painful breakup.

“Two actors who I lean on heavily for life advice are Marcia Cross and Felicity [Huffman],” Longoria says of her co-stars. “We’re like sisters. We’ve been through so much with the show and with our lives changing. We’ve been through marriage, death, divorce, children. They’re just two special human beings.”

Eva takes the wheel: Longoria gets in the driver’s seat for Allure.

Modeling a L’Wren Scott silk crepe dress, floral-print Talbot Runhof sheath, and foxy bedroom eyes for the shoot, Longoria also dishes on a happier topic: her beauty secrets. The L’Oréal spokeswoman swears by constant hair coloring and, of course, products from a certain makeup brand. Longoria prefers “L’Oréal Studio Secrets lip color. I wear La Mer tinted moisturizer and L’Oréal Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara. I like that it’s the blackest black. That’s all I really use.”

So what’s next for the star? She’s still working it out.

“I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine,” Longoria says. “And I welcome it.”
