Who's ready for some manga mania?

We suspect the answer will be everyone, as soon as they see the animé goodies Karl Lagerfeld has in store for his Holiday 2012 color cosmetics collection for Shu Uemura.

Women's Wear Daily got an early look at the bold new range, which consists of 17 products inspired by Mon Shu, a red-eyed, black-bobbed Japanese schoolgirl character the Chanel designer created for the line's packaging.

“I wanted to invent my personal vision of a Japanese manga,” says Lagerfeld, who has long used Shu Uemura's eye shadows for his sketches ("it's better than pastel; nobody has colors like that").

Describing the line as "Eastern, perfect, mysterious, modern beauty," the designer has whipped up everything from purple gel eyeliner, fake lashes (including one set made from red and black fabric), red eyelash curlers adorned with a mini Mon Shu, a mini brush kit, makeup box, four lip shades, three nail lacquers, Mon Shu nail stickers, and two cheek-and-eye palettes, which contain a bold shade of red upon Lagerfeld's insistence.

"Blending the borderless creativity of Karl Lagerfeld to the makeup expertise of Shu Uemura, we believe this collaboration will bring fun, excitement, and modernity to the brand,” Vincent Nida, Shu Uemura’s general manager worldwide, tells WWD.

No doubt. Ranging in price from roughly $27 for a nail polish to $350+ for the makeup box, the collection will launch in the U.S. in October, with a campaign lensed by none other than Lagerfeld.

Fall can't come soon enough!
