KARL and ILOVEDUST Collaboration Launches

From Snoop Dogg music videos to VIP helicopters and hotels, Karl Lagerfeld seems to be dipping his toes in everything lately.

Last night, an eclectic mix of hipsters and style scenesters crowded the designer's Bleecker Street pop-up shop, celebrating the launch of the exclusive KARL and ILOVEDUST capsule collaboration.

The Misshapes took over the turn tables and guests, including Hilary Rhoda, Chrissy Teigen, Julie Henderson, Mia Moretti and Shenae Grimes, stopped in for some bubbly and Diet Coke—clearly a nod to Karl.

ILOVEDUST is a British collective multi-disciplinary design boutique specializing in graphic design, illustration and animation.

For the exclusive collaboration, KARL and ILOVEDUST created four limited edition t-shirts for both men and women, using Mr. Lagerfeld and his signature style as inspiration (note the glove tee).

ILOVEDUST co-founder Mark Graham said, “designing limited edition T-shirts for someone like Karl Lagerfeld is every graphic designer’s dream.”

FashionEtc asked Mia Moretti if she could do anything with Lagerfeld, what would it be. She laughed saying, "I would want to go to lunch with him. He wouldn't order anything. It would be a good test of my discipline. He's probably the only person I would starve myself for. If I went to lunch with him every day, I'd be pin thin."

The t-shirts are available on Karl.com and at the KARL pop-up store on Bleecker Street in NYC.
