Anna Wintour Being Considered for Ambassador Position?

Pre-election day, there were rumors floating around that Anna Wintour would pursue a diplomatic role should President Obama be re-elected. With Obama in office for another four years, the rumors come full circle.
According to an article in Bloomberg, "President Barack Obama is considering nominating Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, as his next ambassador to either the U.K. or France according to two people familiar with the matter."
Rewarding donors with ambassadorships is a staple of the presidency, and Wintour raised more than $500,000 to help re-elect the president, making her one of the absolute top donors.
Although Wintour may be considered for the overseas position, that doesn't mean she'll leave her coveted Conde Nast post. A spokeswoman for Vogue and Conde Nast told Bloomberg Wintour isn’t interested in a diplomatic post. “She’s very happy with her current job."
