Ricky’s Under Fire for ‘Anna Rexia’ Halloween Costume

Make no bones about it ... Ricky's latest Halloween costume is pretty inappropriate.

The New York City-based beauty chain and Halloween costume headquarters is taking some heat for selling a $49.95 skeleton-print minidress called the "Anna Rexia," the Village Voice reports.

The dress, which was modeled by a busty blonde wearing a bone-shaped barrette and a length of measuring tape around her slim waist, has since been taken down from the retailer's Web site, with a store spokeswoman telling the newspaper that it "wasn't supposed to be selling" the controversial costume anymore.

And for good reason. Critics say that the dress, which also comes in plus sizes, glorifies a serious eating disorder.

"It makes light of something really serious," William Walters of the National Eating Disorders Association tells the Village Voice. "It's hard for us to find it funny."

Now that the costume has been pulled from shelves, let's see what we can do about this questionable "Womb Raider" get-up.
