We’ve heard it before: Beauty is on the inside. But now, it may be truer than ever.

Dr. James D’Adamo—mastermind behind the Blood Type Diet and author of One Man’s Food … Is Someone Else’s Poison—is expanding his offbeat health ideas to the world of beauty. His theory? Your blood type should dictate all sorts of health-related habits, from the food you eat to the way you exercise, and your skin-care choices can play up the benefits even more.

“Patients keep telling me that they wanted to look as good as they felt after following the Blood Type Diet,” says D’Adamo, who has since created an all-natural skin-care line. The Dr. James L. D’Adamo Revitalizing Facial Cream and Facial Cleanser are packed with nourishing ingredients like rosemary, vitamin E, and botanicals, all promising to create healthy, glowing, radiant skin.

Unlike his diet, D’Adamo’s skin-care products don’t cater to specific blood types—they work for everyone. The idea, he told Style.com, is to continue the amazing results you get from his diet—better sleep, digestion, etc.— with amazing skin to boot.

Jury’s still out on this one. But hey, if this “type” of diet works for celebs like Kim Cattrall, the skin-care line is certainly worth a shot too.
