Lady Gaga reunites with MAC for a slightly haunting campaign video promoting her new Viva Glam Gaga 2 nude Lipstick and Lipglass.
Rocking platinum waves and heavy eye makeup, the Vogue cover star tends to her pout as she sits before a mirror surrounded by roses, crystal skulls, and a martini glass containing a goldfish. As you do.
The twinkling music, distorted mirror effects, and Gaga's flickering image all give the ad a ghostly feel.
Still, a nightmare or two is a small price to pay for the slick new shade, which raises money for AIDS awareness. Besides, with its gleaming, ultra-nude coat, the lipstick should easily double as a comforting nightlight.
Meanwhile, MAC is toasting the new launch with the VivaGlam.com site. Beginning March 17 fans can upload photos, discuss AIDS awareness issues, and participate in a top-secret fashion collaboration with Lady Gaga and her stylist, Nicola Formichetti.
