The bleach is back!
After a brief dalliance with red, Katy Perry's mission to become blonde appears to be complete.
Despite being a natural blonde (shocking, we know!), the typically raven-haired pop star struggled to return to her roots, calling the coloring process an "epic fail."
"So I didn’t get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long,” the ghd spokesmodel tweeted earlier this summer. “2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS. If I don’t wait 3wks, I’ll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront. It’s okay, I’ll get to my secret color(s) soon! #patience.”
After teasing to Twitter followers on June 17 that she was dyeing her hair once again, Perry débuted her new golden 'do—worn in longer, loose waves with a multicolor striped dress from the Versus Spring/Summer 2011 collection—on the July 21 live broadcast of MTV News, where she celebrated receiving nine VMA nominations.
Maybe blonde is her lucky color?
