Jennifer Lawrence's latest fashion shoot is undoubtedly for the birds.

W's October cover girl ditches her Hunger Games warrior wear for exquisite feathered creations straight out of a John Singer Sargent painting in the issue's spread lensed by Tim Walker.

The back-to-brunette beauty wows in stunning ostrich feather pieces from Alexander McQueen, Prabal Gurung, Alberta Ferretti, and Vivienne Westwood Gold Label, which she models alongside actual birds.

And while her porcelain skin and ultra-feminine frocks give her a delicate and immaculate image, Lawrence comes across as much more down to earth in the accompanying interview, jokingly comparing her mother to Dina Lohan and revealing that she wore two pairs of Spanx at the Academy Awards.

Posing in a black feather and organza gown from the Calvin Klein Collection paired with Urstadt Swan gloves and a dramatic headpiece for her cover photo, the Oscar nominee opens up about being a bad dancer, picking up Katniss Everdeen's mad archery skills, and being covered in blue makeup for her role as Mystique in X-Men: First Class.

"I would stand, lean, or sit on a bicycle seat naked while they painted me," she tells the magazine. "I have no modesty left after X-Men, I had blue in places I didn't even know existed. Afterward, I had to go around naked, with scales over my private parts, surrounded by men. That cures you of all inhibition.

"I did leave the color everywhere. The hotel in London wouldn't give me my security deposit back because I turned their tub blue. I also did that to a lot of toilet seats on set. We called it 'getting Mystiqued.'"

Nice. How soon before those toilet seats hit eBay?
