MTV Style reports that fashion darling Azealia Banks has released her first album cover, for 1991. The album's title is also her birthdate, and appropriately enough, Banks is rocking an early '90's, but still very-now, style. We wouldn't expect anything less from someone who's serenaded Karl Lagerfeld and attended the Met Ball on Alexander Wang's arm. Let us count the trends:

Dark lipstick: While bright lips still rule the red carpet, we saw this vampy trend emerge at the Met Ball on Lana del Rey, Camilla Belle and Kate Bosworth. Banks makes it her own with a dramatic purple shade.

Elbow-length gloves: Another Met Ball trend (maybe Banks was taking notes?) We saw these on DVF and Cara Delevingne, while Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery wore a shorter pair.

A jaunty hat: Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu showed them for fall, and they make any outfit a little more rock'n'roll.

Tough jewelry: Studded bracelets are always in; just ask Eddie Borgo.

Leather skirt: While we don't know the maker of Banks' high-waisted version, Alexander Wang, Christopher Kane, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger all created versions of the style for fall.

Long red extensions: While they look great on her, these put us a bit too much in mind of Rihanna's now-abandoned hairstyle. Maybe Azealia is planning an asymmetrical cut next?
