Giorgio Armani already offers luxury accommodations in Dubai—housed in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, no less—but for his second hotel, the designer stuck a little closer to home.

The Armani Hotel Milano opened on November 10 with a bang—and a slew of fashionable guests flocked to the launch, including Jessica Alba, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, Olivia Palermo, and Bianca Brandolini D’Adda.

“I have concentrated all my efforts on delivering my personal aesthetic vision within a precisely defined ambiance of total comfort,” Armani said in a statement.

The hotel features 95 rooms and suites (from Armani Deluxe Rooms to Armani Signature and Armani Presidential Suites) and super-luxe details like showers with one-way glass (to see out, but not in), Amrani/Casa furniture, and “lifestyle managers” to cater to guests’ every need.

The hotel also houses an Armani/Ristorante and an Armani/Lounge for informal meals, afternoon tea, and cocktails, as well as an entire floor dedicated to the Armani/Spa. We're booking our flights now!

“This is an act of love for my city,” Armani told Women’s Wear Daily of the project.

“I wasn’t born here, but this is my city, and I remember when I arrived here as a young man in the late Fifties-early Sixties and I didn’t know how to do anything … I like the idea of being remembered not only for my clothes, and I like to bring an element of luxury that adds prestige to the city.”
