Mario Testino Receives Moët & Chandon Etoile Award
Mario Testino had quite a year, snapping the high-profile weddings of two great Kates (Middleton and Moss)—but now the lensman is ready for his close-up.
The iconic photographer is celebrating 30 years in the business—and Moët & Chandon feted him appropriately with a star-studded London soiree and its inaugural Etoile Award.
Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Georgia May Jagger, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in Burberry) all turned out for the ’30s-themed event in gorgeous white gowns, while models Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel, and Erin O’Conner looked to the dark side in dramatic all-black ensembles.
The event was hosted by Lady Amanda Harlech, Vogue U.K. fashion director Lucinda Chambers, and American’s Vogue’s Hamish Bowles, while other bold-named attendees included Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey, Matthew Williamson, Ellie Goulding, and Peaches Geldof.
“I have a sore throat—that’s why you see me wearing this scarf,” Testino told Women’s Wear Daily earlier in the day at the Burberry Spring 2011 show, “but I can tell you I’ll be consuming my fair share of Champagne tonight.”
At a Moët & Chandon event, we’d expect nothing less!
