Nicole Richie Talks Hair Styling, Her Rap Career in Glamour

She’s a reality star-turned-actress-turned-designer-turned-fashion mentor, but if Nicole Richie wants to add another bullet point or two to her CV, she knows just what to do.

“I would be a hairstylist. I actually like to go to the salon and blow out people’s hair,” Richie told Glamour in the magazine’s June issue (with Carrie Underwood on the cover). “I have naturally curly hair, so ‘natural’ beach waves are not so natural for me. I like to braid my hair at night and then let it out the next day. And I also curl my hair with a flatiron. I actually think I’m the best hairstylist on the planet.”

Assuming her styling career doesn’t work out, she should be fine with her fashion empire, which includes accessories line House of Harlow 1960, clothing line Winter Kate, and the Nicole Richie Collection for QVC.

Richie embraces her curls, wearing a Martin Grant top, Agnes B bikini, and Mosley Tribes sunglasses.

“[You have to] study your craft,” she said. “Know it well before you jump in. I wait all the time. Because I don’t want to just put my name on something and then release it. What’s the point of that?”

And then, of course, there’s always Richie’s rap career.

“Just wait and see. I’m the best!” she joked, after once tweeting “My rap career is on the rise.”

“Actually, I cannot rhyme cat without going to I’m so bad at it!”
