Kanye West Teams up with SHOWstudio for New Video

Kanye West has found ways to squeeze a little fashion in his music videos before—2010’s “Runaway” comes to mind, with 3.1 Phillip Lim clothes and starring Selita Ebanks. For his latest, "Lost in the World," the fashion-obsessed rapper’s done it again, tapping Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio and fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben.

Knight’s the mastermind behind such fashion stunts as Daphne Guinness’ virtual mannequins at Printemps, while Hogben—Knight’s former assistant—has worked on videos for the likes of Katie Grand, Gareth Pugh, Louis Vuitton, Barneys, and MAC.

The resulting video has less fashion than expected—white tees seem to be the only thing West and the video’s dancers are sporting—but West showing he can rub elbow’s with fashion’s finest might go a long way in picking up that lukewarm design career…
