After causing a retail frenzy after choosing Reiss for her engagement portraits and recent meeting with the Obamas, the former Kate Middleton again turned to a dress from the British retailer for her appearance at the Epsom Derby on June 4.
Wearing her chestnut hair in a rare updo, the newlywed was a vision in white thanks to the Reiss Peacock dress, which features a mesh embroidered top and a wispy, softly pleated chiffon skirt. Not surprisingly, the £195 (about $320 U.S.) number has already sold out, My Daily reports.
Joseph's boxy ivory Nessie tweed jacket, priced at £460 (about $755 U.S.), helped conceal the sleeveless cut of the dress, while the royal returned to high street favorite L.K. Bennett for her woven straw Natalie clutch (£140, or $230 U.S.) and nude patent-leather Sledge2 heels (£175, $287 U.S.).
Tasteful gold earrings, nude hosiery, and that iconic sapphire engagement ring (no sign of the Welsh gold wedding band) helped accessorize her fresh look, while a toffee-hued straw fascinator with a curled flourish called for a side-swept chignon.
