OVERALL TAKEAWAY: Navajo, Amazonian, and Greek influences? That's certainly a heady mix, but Marios Schwab, who shows no signs of speedbumps post-Halston, managed to pull it off with this tribal-themed collection.
Honeycomb prints etched into scarlet and cobalt knits tops were a nod to the designer's Greek heritage, as were the Grecian warrior-style footwear with ribbons of fringe swishing this way and that.
Most of the looks were suited to modern-day warrior princesses, with precisely pleated skirts, lots of leather, and fringed raffia forming thorny breastplates and peplum waists.
We liked the lovely lace paneling and tinseled effect of the collection's more dressier pieces, though it may be a while until we score an invite to the perfect Amazon-themed cocktail party to where them to. Anyone?
