Preview Alberta Ferretti's Collection for Macy's Impulse

Like her countryman Giambattista Valli before her, Alberta Ferretti is diving into the Macy's pool with a capsule collection for the retailer's Impulse line. And while the designer is known for her romantic gowns, there is a good offering of casual pieces mixed in as well: crocheted peasant sweaters, lace-detail tops, and swingy printed skirts. Plus, the jewel-toned Grecian gowns solve that "what to wear to a summer wedding" dilemma. Best of all, the affordable lineup tops out at $119.

Ferretti's stated inspiration was the Amalfi coast, and these pieces would certainly be perfect there, or at any vacation destination. Model Mariacarla Boscono, a Ferretti favorite, stars in the campaign images.
