Rebecca Minkoff Teams with LIKEtoKNOW.it for Unique Spring 2017 Show

Designers are always looking to push the norm not only with their styles but with their shows.
Rebecca Minkoff could possibly have won the season this year with her incredible Spring 2017 show!

Not only did Minkoff opt to show in Los Angeles instead of at NYFW, she gave her customers an
all-day experience – taking over popular shopping destination The Grove - and featuring pop-up shops,
beauty events, a Virtual Reality discussion, as well as a wine tasting and yoga class!
Her third year of the
‘See it, Buy it’ model of show allowed customers to shop the clothes literally as they came down the runway.
As if all this wasn’t enough, Curtis Kulig customized 30 bags with his signature ‘Love Me’ script to be featured in the show’s finale, and were available for purchase after the show, with proceeds going to I AM THAT GIRL - a non-profit organization for girls to meet in a safe space and promote self-love.

Minkoff knows that embracing Social Media is key, so along with teaming with
popular online shopping service LIKEtoKNOW.it, she chose top influencers to show the clothes, instead of using only traditional models. Jamie Chung, Aimee Song, Coco Rocha, and Pyper America Smith were just a few of the influencers who arrived by Trolley and walked the ‘runway’ – which was a walkway of The Grove.

"Influencers have such strong and dedicated followings," Minkoff told Forbes. "In this new, evolved world of social media, they are the new celebrity. What better way to get the customer excited than to have their favorite influencer walk the runway?"

As for the collection itself – it was Minkoff in true form! Minkoff looked to her California roots to
create a casual, stylish collection
in which surf style meets a 70s vibe. Denim, light florals, and embroidery were featured in this ultra-wearable collection, designed to be layered and mixed together, and is
perfect for those warmer days, and still cool nights, of Spring.

Well over 100,000 ready-to-shop LIKEtoKNOW.it emails were sent after the event and Minkoff reported: “Collaborating with LIKEtoKNOW.it empowers us to take that to a global audience by giving them immediate access to the same content and products that those attending in person are seeing,
and that’s a very powerful opportunity.”

We certainly love anything that can get these hot pieces into our hands even faster!
