Emerald City: Nina Dobrev, Whitney Cummings, Emma Stone, and Chloe Moretz make green look easy.

No doubt about it—green was the color of the night at the 2012 People's Choice Awards (though we did have a soft spot for some white-hot numbers too) in Los Angeles.

The hue proved lucky for Emma Stone, who picked up a Favorite Movie Actress Award in head-to-toe Gucci Spring 2012, which consisted of a cropped garden green blazer with a black lapel and gold chain closure, a cream draped bodysuit, slim black trousers with button details, and gold chain T-strap peep-toe heels. (Kudos for bucking the dress trend!)

While Whitney Cummings channeled Angelina Jolie circa the 2011 Golden Globes with her dark hair, glossy lips, and belted sequin number, Nina Dobrev turned heads in a bright green Elie Saab Spring 2012 dress boasting lace sleeves and a plunging V-neck.

The Vampire Diaries star completed her look with strappy nude heels, also from Elie Saab, J Maderne 14-karat green onyx triple drop earrings and matching cocktail ring, and a round, blush snakeskin-embossed Lucca clutch by Lauren Merkin.

A winner for Favorite Movie Star Under 25 (and, hello, FashionEtc's Top Teens list), 14-year-old Chloe Moretz once again proved she's the Doogie Howser of dress selection with a playful woven emerald green and black Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2010 design, which she accessorized with Mary Jane heels and a sweet side braid.

Way to steal Tangerine Tango's thunder!
