Dorothy's slippers from The Wizard of Oz will be hitting the auction block on December 16.

There's no place like home. Unfortunately, that home had better be a mansion if you want any hope of being able to afford the iconic ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz.

Dorothy's sparkling heels are expected to take in an estimated $2 to $3 million when they hit the auction block on December 16, Reuters reports.

One of just four surviving pairs made for the 1939 film, the shoes are part of the Hollywood memorabilia sale from the Profiles in History auction house, which just auctioned off Marilyn Monroe's white dress from The Seven-Year Itch for $5.6 million.

"This is the most important film prop in the world," owner Joe Maddalena says. "There is nothing more famous. They are one of the greatest pieces of pop culture in existence."

Though slightly scuffed (presumably from Dorothy clicking her heels together), the shoes are described as being in mint condition and boasting a red-painted sole. Nobody tell Christian Louboutin!
