Nina Ricci Spring 2013 RTW

Launch Slideshow

SHOW: Nina Ricci, Spring 2013

THEME: Swingy dresses; black, red and polka dot all over

ACCESSORIES: Metallic fringe jewelry, layered chain necklace, retro sunglasses, peekaboo heels with clear details, beaded evening clutches, and chain-strap handbags.

OVERALL TAKEAWAY: While all the collections shown in Paris this week should have something to do with spring (that is the season on display, after all), it's Peter Copping's collection for Nina Ricci that looks like spring itself.

Sure, the falling cherry blossoms (a nod to the brand's Nina Fantasy perfume) helped set the mood, but it was the pops of pattern and color that really created the seasonal vibe.

Mesh polka dots peeking out of a dark jacket, and a sheer black top paired with a silky lilac skirt brought to mind the unpredictability of the season.

If you could take the joy of a sunny 60-degree day after weeks of chilly rain (Parisians have their fare share of that in April) and translate it into clothing, well you might just get this collection's festive pink fringe skirt, or its bright red frock covered in oversized dots
