That's a Wrap! 10 Trends for Spring 2013

Launch Slideshow

We know, we know: our scarves and tights have barely been tugged out of storage, so we understand if looking ahead to Spring 2013 has you a bit overwhelmed. (But honestly, what have you been doing this past month?)

But it's never too early to get a jump-start, we say!

When you're making space for the chunkier knits and heavier coats, don't trash these 10 trends we noticed everywhere from Manhattan to Milan.

Leather pieces will be in full-swing, as seen in Billy Reid to Valentino's collections, while anything but basic black and white showed up at Dolce & Gabbana and Rachel Zoe.

All that glitters may not be gold, but we took stock of an array of coppers, mirrored textures, and other metallic pieces from the likes of Giambattista Valli and Burberry Prorsum.

Girly girls will be pleased to see bows—Christopher Kane and Chanel tied a few on—and ruffles, seen at Tadashi Shoji and Gucci.

Nothing sweet about these sunnies! Sunglasses are for making a statement, evidenced by everything from retro-fifties shades at Dolce & Gabbana to futuristic fashion-forward goggles at Carven.

A must-have look for the young professional come warmer weather, the short suit made a playful appearance on runways from Tory Burch to Emporio Armani.

Channeling the whimsical ocean waves, shows from Thakoon to Alberta Ferretti showed floaty fabrics in a wash of turquoise and aqua hues.

The always popular bold prints will be in full force, with vibrant hues and eclectic prints making their way onto minidresses at Tibi and jumpsuits at Stella McCartney.

While plenty of designer's opted for darker color palettes, the cheery spring selection of sorbet and citrus shades will be a favorite, from electric tangerine at Issa to bright yellow at Louis Vuitton.
