Market Watch: Diane von Furstenberg for Current/Elliott

dvf spring 2012

Gone are the days when jeans were blue. After the Crayola shades of the summer and this season’s array of burgundy and mustard denim, I may never look back—which is why Current/Elliott’s spring offerings are just so fabulous.

Celebs galore have recently swooned over the brand’s leopard-print skinnies, but for spring, I'm predicting polka dots will be the must-have. In classic blue with bleached-out spots (crafty types, we smell a DIY!), this pair may be just the thing to perk up my denim wardrobe.

But those who prefer even more punch will have something to look forward to as well: Current/Elliott has teamed up with pattern queen Diane von Furstenberg for a capsule collection of denim in adorable tropical-esque prints.

White cuffed jean shorts have a stamped effect in bright orange, while a pencil skirt gets the treatment in blue. There are also skinny jeans and a wrap dress (naturally!) in solid chambray.

Suddenly, my dark blue skinnies are feeling oh-so dull. Can it please be spring already?
